Grammatica Inglese : Le espressioni interrogative

In Inglese le espressioni interrogative sono molte e sono usate per introdurre domande :

Who …?      Chi ..?     
Who’s is the President of the USA? (Chi è il presidente degli Stati Uniti?)

What …?    
Che cosa …? Quale ..?      What is your e-mail address? (Qual è la tua e-mail?)

What + sostantivo…?  Di che …? 
 What colour are your eyes? (Di che colore sono i tuoi occhi?)

Where …?   Dove …?
Where is your brother ? (Dov’é tuo fratello?)

Why…?    Perché …?
Why are you tired? (Perché sei stanco?)

Whose …?    Di chi …?
Whose is this bag? (Di chi è questa borsa?)

When …?    Quando …?
When is the party? (Quando è la festa?)

How …?   Come …?    
How was the party? (Come era la festa?)

Di solito le risposte alle domande che iniziano con why iniziano con because :
Why are you late? Because the bus was late. (Perché sei in ritardo? Perché l’autobus era in ritardo)

L’ordine delle parole nelle domande generalmente è il seguente:
Espressione interrogativa +  Verbo be + soggetto +  complemento
